Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated July 2026.
Who we are
Cyberpunk Tech (“Cyberpunk”, “we”, “us”) operates cyberpunktech.net. We are the responsible party for the personal information collected through this site. For any privacy request, contact us at shaun@cyberpunktech.net.
What we collect
When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and (optionally) your company, budget range and the details of your message. We do not collect special personal information, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Why we use it & our lawful basis
We process this information for one purpose: to respond to and follow up on your enquiry. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and submitting the form. You may withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights” below).
Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own use. Your information may be processed by the trusted service providers that host our website and deliver our email (operators acting on our behalf, under confidentiality), and may be disclosed if required by law.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain a reasonable record of our correspondence, after which it is deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
How we protect it
Personal information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access is limited to those who need it to respond to you. While no method of transmission is perfectly secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard your information.
Your rights (POPIA)
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to delete it, or object to its processing;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email shaun@cyberpunktech.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
